Honey, I'm home!
Off topic: Em and I are having the most interesting conversation on MSN. It's about Judy Blume, Sweet Valley High, Sex and the City and parenting. CENSOR BOOKS AND SHOWS when your children are in primary school! Judy Blume taught me things which I was way too young too fully understand. And I can still recall them. See how much stuff sticks to our memories when we learn about them when we are young. I think it's fine to teach children about sex and contraception but they should not learn about it through poorly written materials and sensationalized entertainment. End of public service message. Yes, Bintan was fantastic. It was a real retreat, physical and spiritual. I'm so glad that Chips invited me along. I'm glad to be home though. Getting back my results was the real icing on the cake (along with finding yummy japanese chocolates in the fridge, $ from my uncle). God is beyond awesome. I can only credit my good results to Him. I did minimal studying, worried about other stuff, went into every exam dazed and confused, went to every class, where class participation counted, late and made my teachers annoyed... so THANK GOD! I'm not advocating laziness or irresponsibilty. But the fact remains that amidst all these shortcomings on my part, GOD CANNOT BE PUT INTO A BOX. The results are really a culmination of all the blessings that have been literally poured into my life these past few weeks. Transformed, indeed :) |
