The one who always stays the same

Here's to Chipmunk for being in a relationship with me for the past 9 years. I wish I can pack her into my luggage and bring her with me. Talking to Wei and Derek made me realize how special our friendship is. You're always the first to know about milestones/breakthroughs in my life. The one who will provide a sympathetic ear at 2am and not say I told you so. I love how we sit around in our underwear at your house and get into fits of laughter. No one else can take that man (ok except Jo but she ain't counted cos she is my baby sis). Sidenote: seriously why are people so uptight about coming out in just their towels after bathing? And being half au naturel with good friends? Whatever you have, I also have what.

I love you, Chips. I love our shared fratboy humour. I love how we only like the kids episodes for South Park. South Park, rude as it is, will always have a super special place in my heart cos last year when I was bawling/trying to study at your house, SP episodes were our breaktimes. I even like the way you drive. It's so adorable. I love how you put certain images into my mind so that I can stop obsessing over certain people/things. Chips you're my best mate (I need to start differentiating the other two because I love you all in different ways) because you pray for me and write verses on funny postcards when I'm down. You are unfailingly encouraging and yet honest. Plus, pretty wise.

I want us to stay tight, forever. Even when you're working shifts at the hospitals. Even when Mel mans up and proposes. Even when I'm slogging it out as a civil servant. We need to be 70 and still sitting around in granny knickers and laughing/getting freaked out at Disturbia, which I predict will be a classic by then.

Thank You Father for Jeannie Chiam's friendship.

P.S Char, don't be jealous. I'll do a write up on you soon.
