this temporary flesh and bone

The predictability of life... Sometimes everything's in a lull and there's time to lie in bed and think about nothing. Sometimes a flurry of nonsensical texts and voices pound at my head. All I want to do then is to be at my rudest and flip these intrusive noises off. Yes that is a vague category.

Why predictability? Knowing that it's a matter of cause and effect. So after a few repetitive patterns, you know when to read the signs. Then brace yourself for the drama and the routine clamouring on all sides. It's a variety of people, of delicate situations and of general mistakes. Which is why when the going gets tough, I'm glad for the sisters. They've got your back. The plastics are all grown up, indeed.
